Obituary

Ulysses Hunter II was born April 11, 1960 to Ulysses Hunter Sr. and Nancy R. Hunter in Winston-Salem, North Carolina He was a 1978 graduate of  East Forsyth Senior High School.

Mr. Hunter served his country in the United States Army. He volunteered in the community with the Tiny Indians Football team and was loved by the kids he came in contact with. He was a die-hard San Francisco 49'er's  fan.

Ulysses was preceded in death by his father; brother Jeffrey Hunter and sister-in-law Renee Hunter. Mr. Ulysses Hunter, II, aka "Bup-Bup" departed this life Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice of Davidson County.

He leaves cherished  memories to  his mother, Nancy R. Hunter of the home;  three daughters, Annika (Herbert) Williams, Ulissea Hunter, Gwendolyn Hunter and their mother Vernetta Jean Hunter; six grandchildren, Moniqua Davidson, Mi'cyah Davidson, Montigo Davidson Jr., Jaylen Bryant, Amir Wells and Jeremiah"Bean" Hunter;  siblings Pamela Hunter  and Donna (Chris) Eaton; two uncles Leroy (Rosa) Reynolds, Roscoe (Ola C.) Hunter; five nieces & nephews, Nykhia Hunter, Jessica Hunter, Thomas Hunter, Joshua Jefferson and Christina Eaton; a host of other relatives and friends .

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday April 13, 2024 at Praise Assembly Church Ministries Inc. 3254 Kernersville Rd. Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12:00 pm at the church. Interment will be held 1:00 pm Monday April 15, 2024 at the Salisbury National Cemetery. His remains may be viewed Friday from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home.
