Ms. Vashti Robinson died April 5, 2021 Oak Forest Rehabilitation Center following a period of convalescence.

Vashti Sturdivant Robinson, daughter of William C. and Ada Kimbrough Sturdivant was born on July 5, 1923 in Winston-Salem, N.C. She transitioned on April 9, 2021 at Oak Forest Health Rehabilitation. She attended school in the Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools then traveled to New York where she worked before returning back to N.C.

Vashti became a member at Union Mission Holiness Church and was a long time homemaker. She was remembered for experimenting in making various salads and no matter what was for dinner, she was "the salad maker." No one loved soap operas and game shows more than Vashti. If one of her favorites, Perry Mason was on, no one else got to watch TV. But most of all, nothing gave her more pleasure than loving and caring for her great grands and great-great grands.

Vashti was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William C. Sturdivant Jr., son, Sylvester David Sturdivant and grandson Sylvester D. Sturdivant, Jr.

Vashti is survived by her son, Arthur Sturdivant (Lula) of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughters, Anita King (Rodney) of Winston Salem, NC and Angela Hardt of Las Vegas, Nevada; Grandsons, Anthony and Arthur Sturdivant, Jr, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; Niece, Tracey Sturdavant, Middletown, New York and Nephew, Henry Sturdavant, Detroit, Michigan. Vashti has 10 Great-grands , 9 Great Great-grands and a host of cousins and friends.

Public visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 18, 2021, Noon to 6 P.M. at Hooper Funeral Home, Winston Salem, NC 27105.
