Veotus B. Pauling, Sr. was born to Alonza and Nellie Hairston Pauling December 13, 1937 in Winston-Salem, NC where he attended the public schools.

He was a retired mechanic of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. after thirty years of service.  After his retirement, Mr. Pauling started his own business installing carpet and opening Ve's Uniforms where he sold pastor and choir garments along with Masonic and fraternal paraphernalia.

Spiritually, he was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to four daughters, Mrs. Phoebe (Alvin) Wells, Sr., Mrs. Delbra (Shan) Price, Sr.,  Mrs. Pamela (Leroy) Richardson, Sr., and Mrs. Lisa Pauling (Roy) Davis; two sons, Mr. Veotus (Tavia) Pauling, Jr., and Mr. Jimmy Pauling;  three sisters, Ms. Jacqueline Pauling, Mrs. Hazel Lee Jackson, and Mrs. Constance Suber; three brothers, Cleotus (Mary) Pauling, Harold (Bonnie) Pauling and Kassell Pauling;  a sister-in-law, Mrs. Rosetta Pauling; four brothers-in-law, Charles Jackson, Robert Jackson, John Jackson and Benjamin Jackson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 11:30am Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 12pm.
