Ms. Willene Cauthen, formerly of 1900 Ardmore Rd. and 700 W. 14th St. passed away Tuesday July 20th, 2021. She was a native of Kershaw, South Carolina and a resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina most of her life.

Ms. Cauthen was a member of United Memorial Holy Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Maybell Cauthen, siblings, Roosevelt Cauthen Jr., Lucille Cauthen Lindsey, Thomas Cauthen, Jannie Cauthen Dodd, Roy Cauthen and one great grandson, Aydan Smith.

Survivors include her son, Joseph (Karen) Cauthen, Sr.; one niece, Vickey Lindsey; two grandsons, Joseph Cauthen, Jr. and Daniel (Susan) Smith; two great grandsons, Neasean and Jamone Cauthen; two great granddaughters, Bethany Smith and Aalexis Canty; one great niece, Sequita Lindsey; three great-great nephews and one great-great niece and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 31, 2021 at 2pm from the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home with Pastor J. Phillip Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm-2:00pm.
