Mr. William Shaw, 84, of Winston Salem, NC was called home on August 6, 2024 at home surrounded by loving family.

William was born to Annie Bell Mae Johnson and Willie Shaw on May 10, 1940. He received his education in the public schools of Lee County. His lifelong work as an auto mechanic has helped many people. He was a fan of NASCAR racing and kept many memorabilia from his favorite cars.

William was preceded in death by his wife Lorene Shaw, 3 brothers Charlie Shaw, James Shaw, July "John" Shaw, and sister Corine Shaw-Joe.

William is survived by his 3 brothers Henry Shaw, Matthew (Jessie) Shaw and Jimmy (Thelma) Jenkins of Suitland, MD.

He leaves to cherish wonderful memories his devoted daughter Willette (Montez) Watson, 3 sons Charles (Beulah) Shaw, Terrance (Karen) Shaw and Willie Shaw; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; devoted cousin Vaughn (Clifford) Pitts; a host of nieces and nephews as well as many relatives and good friends. William Shaw will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday August 13, 2024 at Twelve O'clock Noon, Visitation: 11:30a.m. to 12 Noon at Hooper Funeral Home

with Pastor Vernon E. Brown Officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
