Willie  Eugene Cremedy, Sr. 80, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina departed this life Sunday December 10, 2023. Willie fondly known as "Gene" was born to the late Leonard Cremedy Sr. and Elizabeth Blair Cremedy on Monday February 8, 1943 in Winston-Salem NC. Willie attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools. He was employed by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and the Winston Salem Forsyth County schools and later retired from both.

Willie was a faithful member of Temple of Glory Ministries Church for more than 23 years. While there he held positions such as transportation, custodian and security. He was known for his love of traveling, boxing and his life Long commitment to weightlifting as a part of the YMCA community.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Castina Couthern Cremedy, sister Patricia Olivia "Teet" Cremedy, brother Leonard "Skip" Cremedy Jr. (Marie of Chicago), son, Antonio "Tony" Giles(Beverly) and two great grandchildren.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory three children, Michael Eugene Garvin, Willie Eugene Cremedy Jr.(Doreathea) and Tassa Lanee Cremedy; one brother, Marvin Cremedy (Clara); seven grandchildren, Tarkeya Wright, Sniqua Cremedy, Lashanda Cremedy (Ronsha), Mieshauna Garvin, Dominique Rice, Willie Eugene Cremedy, III and Sateria Giles; 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:30pm Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Mercy Seat Holy Church with family visitation preceding at 12 Noon.
