Obituary

Ms. Willie Mae Hadley was born December 5, 1945 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late William and Mattie Brown Wilson. She attended Paisley High School and received a degree in Early Childhood education from Forsyth Technical Community College.

Ms. Hadley retired as a lead teacher from Family Services Headstart with 35 years of service. Spiritually she was a member of Disciples of Faith Full Gospel Ministries where she was the mother of the church.

She loved gardening, traveling, fishing, and butterflies. Ms. Hadley especially loved her family and cooking for them.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hadley; daughter, Francenia Coles; and four siblings.

She departed this life Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at her residence.

She is survived by two sons, Tony Wilson and Albert Coles; one daughter, Wendy Wilson; seven grandchildren including a devoted granddaughter/caregiver, Kyosha (Adrian) King; sixteen great grandchildren; a devoted friend, Pastor Druscilla (Gregory) Walker; a host of other cousins including a close cousin, Johnsie Mebane; other relatives and friends.

The family visitation will be held 1:30pm Saturday, April 16, 2022 at United Progressive Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2pm. Interment: 2pm Monday, April 18, 2022 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
