Willie Lee Parker, Sr. was born September 3, 1944 to the late William and Mollie Plowden Parker in Winston Salem, NC where he attended the Winston Salem/Forsyth County (WS/FC) public schools.

A veteran of the United States Army and National Guard, he was a retiree of the WS/FC public schools and an active member of the Winston Lake YMCA. Mr. Parker's spiritual endeavoring included faithful membership of First Calvary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, Missionary Ministry, and sang with several church choirs.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Willette Parker.

Mr. Parker transitioned from labor to reward October 29, 2023.

Left to cherish fond memories are his devoted wife of 33 years, Priscilla Glenn Parker of the home; one daughter, Cecelia Knight of Mulberry, FL; a son, Willie L. Parker, Jr. of Greensboro, NC; a granddaughter Fattima Mims of Florida; one grandson, Willie L. Parker, III (aka, Trey); one brother, Charles (Mary Ann) Plowden of Winston Salem, NC; a stepson, Patrick J. Glenn of Winston Salem, NC; four great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 11am Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at First Calvary Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 11:30am. Interment will follow the funeral service in Salisbury National Cemetery.
