Willie Edward Webb, at the age of 80, left this world peacefully on July 21, 2026. His life will be celebrated with a service on August 1, 2026, at 12 noon, held at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to gather at 11:30 AM to share in the memories and pay their respects. Willie will find his final resting place at Piedmont Memorial Gardens, following the heartfelt tributes.

For those wishing to reflect on his life, a viewing will take place on July 31, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home.

Willie Edward Webb, affectionately known as “Uncle Willie,” was born to the late Tellen and George Webb Jr. on July 21, 1946, in Winston-Salem, NC. Though he faced many challenges throughout his life, he remained joyful and grateful. He loved deeply and appreciated every kindness shown to him.

Uncle Willie found great joy in cheering on his favorite football team, the Carolina Panthers, and watching his beloved old TV shows. Golden Corral was his favorite place to eat. He treasured his time with friends at the Winston Lake YMCA. A man of faith, he worshiped at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church whenever he could.

Willie Edward Webb completed his life’s journey on July 21, 2026 – called home on the very same date he arrived 80 years before. What a full and perfect circle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Jessie Webb Robinson; Deaconess Minnie L Thomas; Flora Miller-Blakely; Barbara Webb Callahan; and brother Levi Webb.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia Webb Edwards; his devoted niece and caregiver, Dorothy Robinson Henley; his nephew Murray Miller, Jr. who also assisted with his care; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Two close friends left to cherish his memory are: his church friend Cynthia Brown and his YMCA birthday-buddy Bridgett Williams.
