Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gordon,89, aka, 'Lib" was born November 24, 1929 in Winston-Salem, NC daughter of Wiley Alford  Shore Jr. and Eunice Glenn. She departed this life on Friday June 14, 2019 .

She was a graduate of Atkins High School and a retiree of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. Spiritually, she was a former member of Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church before changing her membership to Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the mother's board.

In the community, she was a member of  Sisters of James H. Young Memorial Chapter #592 OES PHA, King Solomon's Assembly #64 Order of Golden Circle PHA, and Sethos Court#105 Daughters  where she served faithfully.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George Ervin Gordon, stepfather, George Robert Mitchell and brother Baxter Baker, Jr.

Survivors include her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marion (Hazel) Gordon of Winston-Salem, NC; devoted cousins and caregivers, Willie M. Downs and Beechie Charles Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends and church members.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday June 21 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:15 am-12 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
